Switzerland is the spiritual home of the alpine ski holiday, and getting to it is refreshingly simple: two international airports, Geneva and Zurich, between them put almost every great Swiss resort within a few hours' drive. Which one you fly into mostly depends on which corner of the Alps you are aiming for.
From Geneva: the western Alps
Geneva (GVA) sits right on the French border and is the gateway to the western resorts. Verbier, with its steep terrain and serious off-piste, is around two hours away; Zermatt, beneath the Matterhorn, a little more (you finish the journey by train, as the village is car-free). The French giants of Chamonix and the Portes du Soleil are also an easy hop across the border.

From Zurich: the eastern Alps
Zurich (ZRH) serves the east of the country. Glamorous St Moritz, the slopes of Davos and Klosters, and the wide modern pistes of Laax and Flims are all within reach, generally two to three hours away through the mountains. Zurich is also handy for Austria's western resorts.
Why transfer rather than drive yourself
Swiss mountain roads in winter are beautiful but demanding — snow, switchbacks and the occasional pass. A private transfer with ski racks and winter tyres takes that off your plate entirely: door to door from the airport to the chalet, with space for skis and boards, while you watch the peaks go by. It is also far simpler than juggling train connections with a week's luggage and ski bags. Book your Swiss Alps transfer or see our private transfers in Geneva.
